Two Paths, One Big Decision: Helping Your Family Understand US vs. UK Admissions

More and more students are exploring UK universities as a compelling alternative to US colleges. But many families don’t realize that the two admissions systems operate under fundamentally different rules, from how students are evaluated to what kind of university experience they offer.

US admissions often take a holistic approach, while UK universities place greater emphasis on academics, subject focus, and course-specific preparation. As a result, timelines, essays, and applications can look very different.

Join our admissions experts as they break down how the two systems compare. They’ll provide smart strategies and clear next steps to help you confidently guide your student on their path forward.
