Meet The Speakers
Theo has guided students from around the world through the admissions process, helping them earn acceptances to highly selective institutions in the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe. As a first-generation college graduate, he brings a deep appreciation for the transformative power of higher education and works to ensure his students feel confident and supported along the way. Fluent in Spanish, Theo spent five years as an independent counselor in Mexico City, where he also led workshops for school counselors on topics ranging from the Common App to stress management. Now back in California, he continues to help families navigate both U.S. and international admissions while enjoying his passions for swimming, national parks, and history.
When it comes to navigating the college admissions process, Lori is exceptionally skilled in supporting students applying to universities all over the U.S. and around the world. With 20+ years of experience both behind the college admissions desk and as a high school counselor, she thrives on getting to know her students and supporting them in achieving their goals. Lori has also developed a strong understanding of the UK admissions process—an interest sparked during her time at Atlanta International School, where a significant number of her students pursued UK universities, and one she continues to nurture through ongoing work with UK-bound applicants and counselor training. For Lori, the most rewarding aspect of guiding families through the college journey are the strong relationships she builds as a mentor to students and a trusted advisor to families.
