The College Major Conversation: Helping Your Teen Discover Their Direction

Join us on Tuesday, January 06 at 4:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM ET for an expert-led session designed to help your teen make sense of one of the most important choices in their college journey: choosing a major.

Ideal for families with teens in grades 8-11.

Did you know that U.S. colleges offer more than 2,000 different majors?

With so many majors to choose from, it’s normal for students to feel uncertain about what direction to take. This session will help your family explore your teen's options and evaluate the factors that lead to making a choice that truly fits.

Join Anita, former UChicago Academic Advisor, and Hanifa, Columbia alumna and admissions mentor to 1,000+ students, as they break down the major-selection process and share what colleges look for when evaluating students’ choice of major against their academic profile.

In this webinar, you'll learn:

  • How to identify majors that align with your teen’s strengths, interests, and goals
  • The real differences between applying as “declared” or “undecided”
  • Which majors are rising and declining in popularity, and why that matters
  • How both college admissions and employer expectations are shifting, and what your teen can do to stay ahead of the game

👉 Start the new year strong. Sign up today and help your teen choose the right path for their future.

Anita earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Williams College and went on to earn her master’s in student affairs and academic support at the University of Michigan. Anita has a knack for building relationships quickly and making seemingly unrelated connections between people and ideas, which comes in quite handy when she’s helping students identify and apply to their best-fit schools.
