CHRISTOPHER LOGAN

COLLEGEWISE MASTER ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR & COUNSELING TEAM LEAD

Christopher is pretty good at winning. He’s a champion ballroom dancer, National Merit Scholar, and two-time recipient of Yale’s Light Fellowship. If we include high school, there are about a million debate trophies, National History Day awards, and statewide essay competition victories added to the list. In his free time, Christopher goes to a competitive spin studio, where’s he’s only met one person who can (sometimes) beat him. And did we mention that he speaks French, Spanish, and Korean? When Christopher chose to pursue a career in college counseling, naturally, he was good at that, too. After graduating from Yale in 2014, he moved to California and, throughout six college application cycles, counseled just under 300 students to acceptances at schools like Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, and Yale, to name a few. In fact, about 20% of those students went on to Ivy League or “Near-Ivy” colleges. In this role, he expertly guided students as they selected their classes, clubs, volunteer work, and internships to make sure they could enjoy a high school experience that would make them more competitive college applicants. At Collegewise, his goal is to help students and parents alike by reducing their stress while being both honest and compassionate about the admissions process. (And let’s be honest, probably winning an award for great college counseling, too.)

KATE STRZELECKI

COLLEGEWISE ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR

Kate is what we fondly call a "lifer" In the field of admissions. She has over a decade of experience working in higher education; first at Hawaii Pacific University and later at NYU. She has read thousands of applications and rendered countless admission decisions for students across the country. While she loved the work, she eventually decided that serving as the gatekeeper for an institution was not where her passion lay so she jumped to the other side of the desk and has been counseling students through the admissions process ever since.

When she isn’t guiding students during their high school journeys, you can find Kate shuttling her two young aspiring athletes to softball, soccer, hockey and baseball throughout Orange County. Although some people feel deep ties to our roots (Californians claim the best beaches and Mexican food, New Englanders claim Dunkin' Donuts and the Patriots), Kate has lived half of her life on each coast, so she loves Dunkin' but can appreciate the joy of a good California burrito.
