Meet The Speakers

Taylor Florio
Taylor Florio
Former Assistant Director, Queens University of Charlotte

Since answering the call of college counseling, Taylor has seen her students gain admission to dozens of colleges and universities, including Tulane, UNC-Chapel Hill, University of Miami, Elon, and University of Colorado Boulder. She is the rare college counselor with experience in admissions, counseling, and enrollment management (the science of ensuring colleges enroll the predicted number of new freshmen each year), affording her insight not just into the best ways to guide students, but also the practices of admissions officers evaluating them and the business needs of the colleges hoping to enroll them.

Ali Springer
Ali Springer
Former Colorado College Associate Director of Admission

A career-long educator, Ali Springer has spent the last 20 years helping students on their educational journeys. She served as an Associate Director of Admission at Colorado College, her alma mater, for eight years, where she read thousands of applications, interviewed hundreds of students, and trained the admissions staff on how to identify strong applicants. Ali loves getting to know students throughout the admission process by asking thoughtful questions to encourage self-reflection. During the college research process, she’s incredibly adept at guiding students in procuring data and utilizing critical research skills to connect their passions and interests to the universities and their communities.
