Wondering what colleges want to see from homeschoolers? Learn from admissions experts!
Homeschooling gives families flexibility, but college admissions brings new questions. Will colleges recognize your curriculum? Does your teen need test scores? What counts as an extracurricular? And how will admissions officers evaluate the application?
Join college counselors, Jessica Strange & Mel Williams, for an inside look at how colleges evaluate homeschooled applicants and how you can help your student highlight the experiences, strengths, and qualities that make them stand out. You’ll learn what your teen can do to demonstrate academic readiness, make the most of opportunities outside a traditional high school, and tell their story in a way that feels authentic to them.
During this event, you will learn:
How colleges evaluate homeschool academics
Including curriculum, course rigor, transcripts, and outside academics. When testing can strengthen an application
And how SAT or ACT scores can help demonstrate college readiness.
What counts as a strong extracurricular
Including work, passion projects, family responsibilities, and more.

And use essays and recommendations to add context to the application.
