Extracurricular Masterclass: What Admissions Officers Look for in Student Activities
Join us on Tuesday, April 7 at 4:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM ET to learn how your student can make an impact with their activities and stand out to colleges.
Ideal for families with teens in grades 7-11!
Do colleges expect your teen to do every activity to stand out?
Between sports, clubs, volunteering, research programs, and part-time jobs, many families feel pressure to help their teen “do it all.”
In reality, trying to do everything can actually be counterproductive.
Extracurriculars can tip the scales in admissions, and officers quickly spot the difference between a résumé that looks “busy” and one that reflects purpose, impact, and authenticity.
In this exclusive event, Gretchen Gleason and Theo Twidwell will share insights from 30 years of combined experience evaluating and advising college applicants to reveal what truly stands out in student activities and how families can prepare right now.
👉 You’ll learn how to:
- Position extracurriculars strategically to highlight the unique strengths and interests that set your student apart
- Help your teen showcase leadership and initiative without a formal title and develop passion projects that tell an authentic, memorable story to admissions officers
- Use the upcoming break to explore interests through projects, programs, research, or work experiences
🎓 PLUS: Live Q&A with Gretchen and Theo!
Bring your questions and get answers directly from experts who understand how students are evaluated by those on the other side of the admissions table.
Join us and learn how to help your teen turn their free time into a powerful admissions advantage!
