Attend a Webinar
We get it. There’s a lot happening right now, and a lot of swirling questions about what this all means. We got you covered. We're sharing free resources by hosting webinars, all to help you navigate the pressing questions and the rapidly changing admissions landscape. And, we’ll continue to remind you of all that isn’t changing and what you can control.
As a reminder, our webinars are free, but space is limited. The good news is that if you can't make it live, a recording of all webinars will be available to all registrants for up to two weeks after the event. We hope to see you at one of the following webinars!
Highly Selective Colleges
Tuesday, April 5 • 5 PM PDT/8 PM EDT
Grades, test scores, and impressive activities alone won’t get a student admitted to schools that reject almost all of their applicants. So how do students who get accepted to the Ivy Leagues, Stanford, Tufts and the rest of the nation’s most selective colleges set themselves apart from the rest of the applicant pool? We’ll show you at this webinar. We’ll also reveal some Collegewise strategies to improve a student’s chances of admission at the most selective schools. While we don’t believe that prestigious colleges are necessarily better colleges, we want students who are interested in these schools to have straight answers about what it will really take to have a shot at getting in.

How to Find Good Value Colleges
Wednesday, April 21 • 5 PM PDT/8 PM EDT
We think the process of applying for financial aid and scholarships is a lot more confusing and stressful than it needs to be. This seminar shares step-by-step advice for families, from how to estimate your eligibility to what forms to fill out to when to file them. We’ll answer the most common questions like, “Can applying for financial aid hurt a student’s chances of admission?” and “Should you apply for aid even if you think you won’t qualify?” We’ll even address the role of scholarships, how to find them, and how to evaluate a student’s potential eligibility.
Character Counts! Why Courage, Creativity, & Collaboration Matter
Tuesday, May 11 • 5 PM PDT/8 PM EDT
When applying to college, students and parents understand the role of grades, course rigor, and standardized testing. An increasingly important element is Social and Emotional Learning. In this presentation, you’ll learn how SEL distinguishes itself from academic factors and why even the most selective of colleges place an immense value on empathy, ethical behavior, and engagement with others. We will discuss this in relation to course selection, extracurricular activities, and building a smart college list. There will also be practical advice for students who are seeking to understand themselves better and portray the most authentic version of themselves in their applications.
