About this Event
AI is a rapidly evolving landscape, and its role in college admissions is raising urgent questions for educators.
In this exclusive event co-hosted by Collegewise and AICA (AI in College Admissions), expert counselors Anita Doddi and Matthew Frankel—along with Emily Pacheco, Associate Director at Case Western Reserve University—will unpack the latest developments, including:
- How colleges are detecting and responding to AI-generated application materials
- How different colleges are approaching AI in admissions—from cautious experimentation to firm guidelines
- How the application process may evolve, with shifts in essays, testing, and interview formats
You'll walk away with insights to help your students navigate this new terrain confidently. We’ll also reserve time for your questions in a live Q&A with our presenters.

Your Speakers

Anita Doddi
Former University of Chicago Academic Advisor & Collegewise Counselor
Anita Doddi has spent her entire career in service of students—as a student affairs professional at Macalester, as an academic advisor at UChicago, as a College Admissions Advisor both in her own practice and in other firms, and now as a Collegewise counselor and helps students through the college admissions process. Anita earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Williams College and went on to earn her master’s in student affairs and academic support at the University of Michigan. Anita has a knack for building relationships quickly and making seemingly unrelated connections between people and ideas, which comes in quite handy when she’s helping students identify and apply to their best-fit schools.

Matthew Frankel
Former Graduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley & Collegewise Counselor
Since earning degrees in comparative literature and bioengineering from Stanford University, where he was nominated for the Rhodes and Marshall scholarships, Matthew has spent his entire career working with students, including stints teaching writing courses at UC Berkeley and English at Don Bosco Cristo Bay High School. Before joining Collegewise, Matthew was a sought-after independent college counselor whose students were accepted to a variety of selective colleges. Both parents and students see him as a wise expert, a patient teacher, and a willing advocate who genuinely wants the best for everyone involved.
