In the Spotlight: Collegewise Tutors

By Collegewise

Collegewise understands that being ready for college goes beyond just focusing on admissions.

Our tutors help students become confident learners, which supports them in every step of their college journey—from learning the material and staying organized to meeting their unique goals. And our tutors’ qualifications are just as distinctive—from backgrounds in psychology and math to European History and (very specifically) bacterial photosynthesis, we have a tutor for every subject and student.

She graduated with a B.A. from the University of Virginia, then studied at universities in Italy, taking courses in Italian language, Literature, and Art History. In addition to having his B.A. in Classics from the University of Oregon, Matt taught for twelve years at St. Peter’s College, Deep Springs College, Rutgers, and Whitman College. When he’s not tutoring, he writes poetry and fiction (of course), plays guitar, and daydreams about space travel. He enjoys helping students set goals, challenge and overcome their anxieties, and achieve their aims through discipline and hard work.
